My Working Trip Accomodation

Finally I found some time to update my blog. I should update it daily if possible but sometimes I was too busy to do so. I better do it fast now, or else I might be asked to help in some tasks related to work.

So, I told you that I will stay in KL for about 2 months or so. Company rented an condominium near Bukit Jalil to let us stay in. It is called Savanna Condo, a new condo in this area and still for sale. Actually not many people move in yet.

Take a look at the condo I stayed. If you are interested after seeing my photos... you can call the following numbers to book or buy one!

This is the front view of Savanna Condo that I stayed. As usual, there is a guard house at the main entrance. Can you see the apartment behind with balcony? Yeah, the first unit with balcony is the unit that I stayed in.

These are the view from the balcony. Bukit Jalil National Stadium can clearly seen. If you look down from balcony, you can see a golf court! Gosh!! This is luxury lifestyle! Playing golf under the hot sun!

There are quite a lot of facilities available for the resident here. The playground is suitable for families with kids.

Then there is a swimming pool. The scenery of the swimming pool is nice!

Sauna room is also available. But I think KL is hot enough, do you think you still need sauna to make you sweating? Well, maybe this is what people call "luxury life" that I never understand!

Ok, just now I brought you to a brief tour on the condo I am staying in. You may feel it is so nice with such good environment and facilities provided. Yes! It is nice if you have time to use those facilities. But I guess most KL people are too busy for that except maybe weekend.

Ok, now bring you to see how my unit looked like when the first day we moved in! It was a mess at the living room!! A lot of stuffs like electricity was not properly installed yet. Then a lot of boxes, dirt at the living room. The things were belongs to house owner.

There were no curtain yet in any of the room! Can you imagine, the big glass door with no curtain? Gosh! Somebody may see me changing clothes!!

Then there was a messy balcony!

This is the master bedroom that I stayed in. I am sharing a room with a colleague. Can you imagine the big windows just beside the bed without curtain?

My First Working Trip

Don't have much time and energy to tell you the long story, so basically I just share some photos with you all about my first working trip to KL yesterday with MAS Airlines. It had been quite sometimes I didn't fly with MAS since AirAsia dominated the budget domestic flight, but trust me sometimes MAS not necessary more expensive than AirAsia!

These were the colorful seats in Boeing 737-400 of MAS that I had boarded. Look quite cheering and refreshing. I was sitting almost at the back row - seat 24A.

Lunch inside the flight! Here is the cover. Didn't try any in-flight meal since using AirAsia.

2 lunch sets to choose from, noodles with fish and tomato chicken rice.

I chose tomato chicken rice. Beside rendang chicken, there were also some salted vegetables. The taste? Well, it looked nice but taste nothing special.

I found this salted butter quite special. A cross shape. It was for applying on the bread given.

I got nothing to do in the flight, so took some scenery from the sky.

The cloud view. Wonderful isn't it?

I saw a very beautiful seaside from the airplane!

We finally arrived at KLIA at about 1.45pm. Long time haven't being to KLIA.

Waiting for luggage. Long queue man!

I got a souvenir from MAS near the exit!

After paying for cabs, we then headed to the condominium at Bukit Jalil. Stay tune! There will be more photo coming!!

My 4th Payment

I will be flying to KL on MAS Airline at 1155 am today for a working trip. I may need to stay in KL for around 2 months, more or less.

Yesterday, I suddenly thought of maybe I will face some difficulties if I want to make my payment in KL. Therefore, I decided to pay for 2 months in one go! I bought a demand draft worth RM250, the total amount for my March and April payment.

That's why next month I won't be paying the loan. But if possible, I will pay again on May because at that time suppose I shall be back from my working trip.

A Short Trip To Batang Ai

I happened to go to Batang Ai, an area which is about 83km from Sri Aman. Thanks to my 2nd auntie who drove us all the way from Sri Aman to Batang Ai just to bring us there to take a look at one of the very famous place in Sarawak.

I believe most Sarawakian heard about Batang Ai because this is a place where Sarawak's only hydroelectric power plant is located. Besides that, Batang Ai is also a tourists attraction center because of its beautiful scenery. You can find Hilton Batang Ai Longhouse Resort there.

[The rest house and the fish sculpture at Batang Ai]

Anyway, for our short trip to Batang Ai dam, we didn't pass by the resort. We just stopped at the rest house at a high level area. This is a place where tourists can park their cars, relax and taking some meals. You can see a fish sculpture at this point, but I am not sure what family of fish is this.

[Fish sculpture at Batang Ai from another angle]

From here you can also see a very amazing scenery of Batang Ai dam. There are specially made staircases for tourists to walk down to the lake area to feel the very heart-touching scenery.

[Specially built staircases to allow tourists access to the lake]

I was really impressed by the scenery along the lake especially the green and clear lake water! It was really an amazing experience seeing such clean natural water! All these while I can only see the yellowish Rejang river, that made me curious about the green-in-color water at Batang Ai.

[Nice scenery of Batang Ai lake]

Thus I asked my auntie, "Why the water color is green ho?". My aunt asnwered me with just a simple sentence, "Because these are mountain water and haven't being polluted yet!". What my aunt said really reminded me how river water suppose to look like. Yeah, human really did too much of damage to the environment. Our future generation may thought river water naturally should be yellow in color! What a shame!

[This is how clear and unpolluted water should look like]

[The "green-in-color" lake water]

When we were there that day, there were still some renovation and construction going on. From what I saw, they must be doing some expansion to the existing platform for tourists along the Batang Ai lake.

[Platform expansion construction was in progress]

[Another view of the construction]

After enjoying the scenery there for about half an hour, my auntie later brought us to another corner of Batang Ai dam. This time, we reached exactly on top of the dam! Actually the route to the dam top was blocked, but somehow we still sneak in successfully.

[Route to dam top was blocked]

The view from dam top was nice as well. From there you can feel how amazing the dam's construction is! High and concrete wall (dam) had been built to block the mountain water from flowing away. These water will then be released through a special channel to move the turbine thus generate electricity.

[On top of a Batang Ai dam]

I felt so lucky because my aunt drove us to another part within the Batang Ai dam where we could see how and from where the water flow down from the dam. The structure is really amazing! This experience certainly opened by eyes wide!

[The dam and the hydroelectric power plant]

I would like to thank my 2nd aunt for her kindness and efforts to purposely bring us to Batang Ai hydroelectric dam just to let us felt the beautiful scenery there. I really enjoyed this trip so much!

A Small Town Named Lubok Antu

Maybe a lot may never heard about the small town named Lubok Antu before. But if I tell you this is the town where the upcoming Sarawak by-election will be held, now did you have some idea about it?

Yeah! This is the town which will become center of attention by Malaysian on 7th of April 2009 where Batang Ai by-election will be held after the current assemblyman passed away because of stroke.

I happened to pass by this small town last week when we were heading to Batang Ai Dam thanks for the kindness of my 2nd auntie who spared her busy time just to fetch us here for a visit.

Lubok Antu is actually a district in Sri Aman division and it is about 82KM or around one hour plus driving distance from Sri Aman. It is just a very small town with 2 rows of old shop lots.

[Old shop houses in Lubok Antu town center]

[Another old shop houses view]

Just opposite one of the old shop houses is "People square" or Dataran Rakyat. Nothing much there besides a small stage and malfunction giant clocks!

[Dataran Rakyat]

[A mini stage and malfunction clocks in front of Dataran Rakyat]

Beside the Dataran Rakyat is Lubok Antu local council's market. It is actually a food court.

[Market Majlis Daerah Lubok Antu / food court]

There is a mini park and a public toilet just behind the council's market. Inside the mini park, there is a tower, about 3-storey's height where you can climb up the stairs and enjoy the river view.

[The tower inside the park]

However, when I climbed up to the top, I noticed that the tower's floor was covered by bird's dropping! It was really disgusting! Local council should do something on this or the tourists will scare the hell out of it! (If there is any) ;p

[The floor covered with bird's dropping. Disgusting?]

[A view from the tower]

[River view from the tower]

There is also a Pasar Tamu (Native market) just beside the food court. I think that almost describe all about how Lubok Antu town center looks like.

[Pasar tamu]

[A Lubok Antu street view]

Anyway, if you drive a little deeper into the town, you will notice there was a giant construction going on. It was a 14 or 15 storey's concrete structure building in progress! What can you do for such a big building inside a small town like this? I really felt weird and curious about it. Heard it is some building for the use of police forces. I think we even hardly found such tall building in Sibu! ;p
