AVF HM900 Headset Review

Bought a AVF Stereo Headset at Sibu PC Fair over the weekend. My Logitech headphone which I bought about a year ago broke down because of wiring problem at volume control area.

So this time, no more Logitech! Anyway, not many Logitech headphones were displayed this time at PC Fair. Whereas, there were 2 stalls selling AVF headphones which caught my eyes especially this model HM900.

It is a big headphone. What actually caught my attention was the "Powerful Bass" sticker on top of the packaging. Among the headphones displayed, this is the only model with the eyes-catching big red sticker.

The price was also acceptable and affordable. With such a tough appearance, it only cost at RM45! Furthermore, I have a small size AVF earphone which I bought quite some times ago but still in good condition. That's why I have some confidence towards AVF products and that's the reason why I made the choice this time.

Among the specification of HM900 are:
  • Microphone: 6 x 5/58 ± 2 dB.
  • Impedance: 32 ohm at 1kHz.
  • Sensitivity: 105dB/mW.
  • Frequency Response: 20 - 20,000Hz.
  • Cord Length: Approx. 4 - 5m.
  • Weight: Approx. 220g(without cord).
  • Adjustable cell cover.
  • Microphone on/off switch is included.
  • Volume control is included.
  • Hanged type built-in microphone.
Who really care what those specs mean? As long as the headphone can produce good sound, that is! After I tried it out, it is really not bad. Sound quality is good, clear and very focus as it covered the entire ears. The bass is good as well, I mean if compare to other earphones I used before, this one certainly have the best bass quality.

What a little bit disappointed me is the microphone is hanged type built-in microphone but not the bendable microphone stick. Actually seldom use the mic but just feel this one is a bit too simple and not that ergonomic. It is more like the mic on mobile phone's headset.

What I felt more special and unique on its design is the head support which is using rubber band as the expandable medium rather than the traditional extendable head support mechanism.

Not really use it yet, but I will rate it 6 out of 10.

Inside PIKOM KL PC Fair 2009

I think by now most of you especially those "buaya" already satisfied enjoying pretty PC fair show girls which I posted previously at here and here. (If you still not satisfy, I can't help much neither as that's all I have). Now back to more serious topic, about the PIKOM PC fair itself which was held from 1oth - 12th April 2009 at KL Convention Center.

[PIKOM PC fair 2009 layout plan]

Actually nothing much I would like to write about it, but this is my first visit to KL PC fair which was held inside KL Convention Center. Before this, I did attend PC fair in KL once but that time it was held in PWTC and KL Convention Center was still a myth.

The pc fair basically can be divided to 2 major categories. The one at the upper floor was specially for major IT brands such as Sony, DELL, Samsung, Canon, NEC, ASUS, HP, Panasonic, Lenovo, Acer and so on.

[SONY]

[SAMSUNG]

[DELL]

[ASUS]

[NEC]

[Hewlett-Packard]

[Panasonic]

[Lenovo]

[Acer]

Internet Service Providers (ISP) and also various telecommunication companies were also here.

[K-One, specialized in GPS device]

[U-Mobile, a new telecommunication company (018)]

[Maxis Broadband]

[Celcom Broadband]

[P1 W1MAX - a new wireless ISP]

Then the one at the ground floor was consists of common PC-related manufacturers booths, major camera manufacturers, PC shops and also online games booths.

[Pen Drive]

[Seagate - specialized in hard drive]

[PDA Expert]

[Not much cheap DVD-R for sale this time]

[An online game booth]

[Random shot in pc fair]

["Sardine" pack crowd, really jammed and crazy!]

[Shopping for computer peripherals]

These are major camera brand booths:

[Olympus]

[Canon IXUS!!]

[Nikon]

[Sony]

Some other interesting random pics took in PC fair:

You will see this alert everywhere in the pc fair. Beware of Pick Pocket! Yeah! definitely you need to aware for pocket-pickers at all time. You never know who is walking behind you because it was really too packed inside the exhibition halls.

Wheel of fortune also inside the pc fair? Yeah, but I don't think you can play as you like. You must purchase something from the booth in certain amount for this!

Now, is SHOT OF THE DAY time again! See the casing below? From far, it was nothing special. Just a silver color CPU casing with a transparent plastic at one side of it.

But if you see the casing closely, did you see anything special? Yes! You notice there is a King Kong catching a girl inside the CPU case? Isn't it cute?!! I think it is just for decoration.

PC Fair Show Girls Brighten The Day

Who said be a blogger is easy? Well, I think it depends on what kind of blogger you wish to be. As for me, I will call myself some sort like a "on scene blogger", you are at the scene to shot photos before you write something about it on your blog. Definitely it's not easy to be an on-scene blogger. You really need to put on a lot of efforts in order to please your readers.

Ok, this post is exclusive for my blog readers who had support my blog all these while! In view of desperate needs of my blog readers for more pretty show girls or so called "leng loi", today I went to "sardine" kind of packed PIKOM KL PC fair again to try out my luck.

The situation today was even worse than yesterday! It's too hard to walk from one place to another and if you missed a place, then turning back will be a big challenge! Furthermore, I was carrying my 5kgs bag on my back and at the same time I needed to aware of pocket-pickers! That further restricted my moving.

You should feel lucky, with this kind of hard situation I still manage to shot some class A's show girls! Certainly it was a tiring and exhausting piece of works! But, for my readers, I felt worth it! Do enjoy!

I also met with some cosplay girls at the pc fair. Heard this year not much cosplay can be seen. I didn't meet any on the first day, but lucky enough to bump with 2 this afternoon. They were wearing quite sexy cosplay costume mimic the characters in one of the online game.

Now come to the best shot of the day! A very pretty and cute show girl at level 5 of exhibition hall. Didn't I told you just now if you miss a place then it's hard for turning back? Ya! I only managed to shot her photo when I made the 2nd round of my visit this afternoon! In the first round she was too busy attending to the crowd.

See how friendly she was? She even made a victory sign when posing in front of my camera! So cute of her! Should I copyrighted this photo? ;p hahahaa... Anyway, I really feel lucky i was able to shot her pic!

At the end of the day, this is how I felt - tired, exhausted, legs pain, back pain, hungry and thirsty! Really not easy to be an on-scene blogger!

Pretty Show Girls At PC Fair @ KL Convention Center

Ok, I won't say much about the pc fair I went today at KL Convention Center. Maybe I'll leave that for later. I guess a lot of "buaya" out there are waiting for this - the show girls in the pc fair!

I didn't meet many show girls actually, what a disappointment. Maybe it was too crowded, so the show girls were surrounded by the crowds or because my timing just not right as I went there in the afternoon time where some show girls might be left for lunch. Furthermore, the place was too crowded and that limited my photo taking chances.

Anyway, just enjoy and appreciate these little photos I managed to take. Certainly not easy to take these pics.

[This one carried a printer]

[These 2 busy distributing pamphlets]

[This one is sweet]

[These 2 wore a bit too much ;p]

[These dual just wore normal t-shirt, not really eyes-catchy]

[I like their costume]

The following were the best shot of the day! 5 show girls posing at the same time in front of Kingsoft's booth. Young, sexy and pretty, only words I can use to describe them!

[5 show girls posing in front of Kingsoft booth]

Anyway, there were too many professional, semi professional, amatuer or even semi amatuer (those using handphone camera ;p ) photographers were too busy focusing their camera on these girls (all were "buaya"!). Therefore the place was too crowded. Luckily, I still managed to shot some and the quality is still acceptable. Enjoy!

[Luckily this zooming was quite good]

[Where were the other 2? Maybe went to washroom?]
